Historical Development   China International Travel Service Limited, H.O. (CITS for short) has gone through three historical periods in its development:   1954 - 1958 A period of initial establishment   1958 - 1978 A period of pioneering   1978 - present A period of development   July, 1964 -- CNTA and CITS is a unitary organization   March, 1982 -- CNTA is founded. CNTA and CITS are in different names with same staffs.   1984 CNTA authorizes CITS to be an enterprise unit. 1992 The State Council Production Office approves CITS to from CITS Group Corporation.   End of 1998 CITS is separated from CNTA and becomes an enterprise under the direct administration of the Central government.   2004 CITS incorporates with China Duty-free Group into a CITS group corporation.
